About

This free, self-paced online course explores the daily lives of ordinary people in the ancient world — not the kings and battles of textbooks, but the farmers, mothers, slaves, soldiers, workers, and worshippers who actually lived it. Across seven modules and fourteen lessons, you'll move from the first Ice Age households and the cities of Mesopotamia, through everyday life in ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome, to the world of the Jews and early Christians under Roman rule. Each lesson is written in plain, story-driven language, pairs with a short quiz, and closes with a faith connection — sometimes about the dignity God gives to ordinary life and work, sometimes about the lived reality behind the Bible's pages. 7 modules. 14 lessons. Completely free. A community education ministry of Solo Faith Church in Concord, North Carolina.
