"Solo Faith" is not a brand. It is a theological statement — and understanding what it means explains everything about how this church operates, what it preaches, and why it was planted in Concord NC.
The Reformation Roots of Sola Fide
"Solo Faith" is the English rendering of the Latin phrase "sola fide" — one of the five solas that defined the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. Sola fide means "faith alone": the conviction that a person is made right before God through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through works, religious observance, church membership, or moral achievement. This doctrine stands at the center of evangelical and Reformed Christianity.
What Sola Fide Means for How We Operate
A church named for faith alone should, above all, be a place where the gospel is clearly preached and nothing is added to it. Solo Faith Church does not ask you to earn your place — in this community, before God, or in our mission. You come as you are. The doctrine shapes the culture: we are not a performance environment. We are a community built on the recognition that all of us are equally dependent on grace.
The Concord NC Context
Solo Faith Church was planted in Concord NC because Cabarrus County has significant unmet spiritual and material need. The name is a declaration of what we believe about salvation; the food pantry, the delivery program, and the community outreach are the expression of what we believe about the church's responsibility to the city it serves. Doctrine and action are not separate for us.
