Never Miss a Restock: Get Pantry Alerts Through Our App

Here is a small problem with a big impact: our online food pantry restocks in batches, and the items families need most go fast. If you are counting on those groceries and you do not happen to check the website at the right moment, you can miss a restock entirely. We built a fix, and it lives on your phone.

The Problem We Kept Hearing About
Solo Faith Church runs North Carolina's first online food pantry — groceries delivered to the door through DoorDash, with no proof of need, no income check, and no religious test. Every month it reaches more than 160 households across Concord and Kannapolis. But demand moves faster than the shelves. When fresh inventory comes in, the neighbors watching closely place their orders, and within hours the most useful items are claimed. The households without the time or ability to keep refreshing a webpage were the ones most likely to miss out — often the same seniors, veterans, and disabled neighbors the pantry exists to serve.
What the App Changes
Download the Solo Faith Church app, turn on notifications, and the timing problem disappears. The moment the pantry restocks, the app sends an alert straight to your phone — no checking, no guessing. You see what is available, you place your order, and the food is routed to your door through DoorDash. For a family that cannot get to a pantry in the first place, knowing the instant groceries are ready is the difference between a full delivery and an empty cart. You can download the app here.
How to Set It Up
Download the Solo Faith Church app from the link at the bottom of solofaith.org, or directly here.
Open the app and allow notifications when prompted — that permission is what triggers your restock alerts.
When you get a restock alert, head to solofaith.org/foodbank to place your order.
First time? Sign up for DoorDash delivery through the pantry form first. Some paperwork is required, and the pantry currently serves Concord and Kannapolis.
By the Numbers
The need is real and measurable. Solo Faith's pantry serves more than 160 households every month and projects 3,030 deliveries in 2026. Each delivery costs about $10 — and when a family cannot cover it, the church does. An alert the moment food is available helps make sure those deliveries reach the people who need them most, before inventory runs out.
Questions Neighbors Are Asking
Does the app cost anything?
No. The Solo Faith Church app is free to download, and the food pantry itself is free — no proof of need and no income check.
How do I turn on restock notifications?
Open the app after installing and allow notifications when prompted. That permission is what lets us alert you the moment the pantry restocks.
I already get deliveries. Do I still need the app?
The app is the fastest way to know when new inventory lands so you can order before popular items are gone. It also keeps church updates and giving in one place.
Solo Faith Church is sharing this because a restock alert is not really about technology — it is about making sure the neighbor who needs food the most is not the one who finds out last. When access depends on timing, putting that timing in everyone's pocket is one more way we protect dignity in Concord.
