Free Grocery Delivery in Concord, and How to Get It

Jesus (Yeshua) gave His followers one plain instruction: love God, and love your neighbor as yourself. At Solo Faith Church in Concord, the second half of that command often takes a very ordinary shape — a box of groceries set down on a porch that no one in the house could have reached on their own. Faith is the root. The food on the doorstep is the fruit.

When Getting to the Store Is the Hard Part

For a lot of households in Concord and Cabarrus County, the barrier to eating well isn't willingness — it's transportation. A senior who no longer drives. A family sharing one car that's needed for work. A neighbor who is homebound after surgery. For them, a food pantry across town might as well be across the state. Removing that barrier is the whole point of what we do.

Two Ways We Help: the Pantry and the Delivery

Solo Faith Church runs a free food pantry at our building at 587 Old Charlotte Rd SW, Concord, NC 28027, open alongside our weekend services — Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM. Come as you are. There's no registration, no proof of income, and no judgment.

For neighbors who can't make the trip, we bring the pantry to them. Our DoorDash-supported delivery program carries free groceries straight to the door. Order intake and delivery scheduling run on an AI-automated system — that's how a small team is able to reach so many homes across the county quickly, and with dignity. The technology isn't the point. Loving more neighbors is.

How to Request Free Delivery

If you or someone you know needs groceries, here's how it works:

  1. Reach out — Call, email, or use our website to ask for delivery. We serve Concord and all of Cabarrus County.

  2. Share the basics — Your address and any dietary needs, so we can pack the box thoughtfully.

  3. We schedule it — Our team coordinates a DoorDash delivery for a time that works for you.

  4. Groceries arrive — A driver brings your order right to your door. No cost. No paperwork.

That's the whole process. If asking for help feels hard, hear this plainly: there is no performance required and no hoop to jump through. Come as you are.

Why a Church Does This

Our faith is built on Scripture alone — we follow what Christ and His apostles delivered, not what later men added (Romans 10:17). Our devotion is to Jesus (Yeshua) Himself: the Word made flesh, who died, rose on the third day, and reigns as our soon-coming King. Service like this flows straight out of that. The pantry and the delivery route are simply what love looks like when it takes feet.

They aren't the whole of it, either. Solo Faith also runs Solo Seminary for discipleship, a prayer ministry, and job and entrepreneurial training — all aimed at walking with neighbors toward something lasting, not just a single good week. You can learn more about the church and ways to give at solofaith.org.

Solo Faith Church shares this because food that reaches your door when you cannot get out is not charity — it is dignity, and dignity is something our congregation is called to guard. Every box we deliver is a neighbor we refuse to let go unseen.
